DRIEMS Polytechnic, established in 2003 with 240 intake capacity in four diploma engineering programmes at Tangi near Cuttack—popularly known as “The Silver City” and one of the oldest cities in India—has emerged as a leading centre of technical education in Eastern India. Located barely 50 km from the State Capital, Bhubaneswar, the institution enjoys the advantage of being close to the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, the major cultural, commercial, and educational hubs of Odisha. Furthermore, DRIEMS consistently ranks 2nd among all private polytechnics in Odisha according to the Quality Council of India (QCI- NABET). DRIEMS Polytechnic, Cuttack(Tangi), a landmark institutional journey in technical education since 2003, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first private polytechnic in Odisha to be granted Autonomous status from the session-2026-27 by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This prestigious status empowers the institution to design its own industry-aligned curriculum based on the National Education Policy (NEP-2020). This move will bridge the gap between academic learning and the fast-evolving needs of the global industrial sector.

IIT Bombay Virtual Lab: A strategic collaboration providing students with access to world-class digital tools and simulations.
